The Quick Answer

eGoodwin Insurance (Goodco LLC) is an independent insurance agency in Ohio with offices at 399 E. Church Street in Marion and 74 E. Olentangy Street in Powell. The agency's President is Mark Goodwin, a licensed insurance professional since 1990 who took over his father's local family agency and grew it to serve clients across Ohio.

Mark grew up in Marion, attended River Valley High School and graduated from The Ohio State University. He served 10 years in the Ohio Army National Guard while attending OSU. He is active in the Big I (Independent Insurance Agents) and Professional Insurance Agents associations, co-founded a local BNI chapter that became one of Ohio's largest, and is a founding member of the National Society of Agents for Consumer Education. In Powell, he serves on the board of the Powell Chamber of Commerce, where he is a past president, and on the board of the Powell Development Corporation.

The team is two people: Mark and Nikki Orlett, Office Manager/Agent, licensed since October 2013 in all personal lines. Because the agency represents multiple insurance companies, it shops coverage across several carriers and compares: auto, home, condo, renters, landlord, flood, umbrella, motorcycle, RV, boat, life, asset-based long-term care and business insurance.

eGoodwin Insurance is rated 5.0 on Google (88 reviews) and serves Marion, Delaware, Powell, Dublin, Westerville, Columbus, Lewis Center, Worthington, Sunbury, Galena and Prospect, plus clients across all of Ohio.

The Story So Far

A local family agency. Grown to serve Ohio.

eGoodwin Insurance has its roots in a local family agency run by Mark Goodwin's father. Mark grew up in Marion, went to River Valley High School and graduated from The Ohio State University. He has been a licensed insurance professional since 1990. When he took over his father's agency, he grew it to serve clients across Ohio and opened a second office in Powell.

The agency is independent, and that matters. We represent multiple insurance companies, so we can shop your coverage across several carriers and compare, instead of fitting you into one company's box. In Mark's words, we help you buy insurance rather than sell it to you.

The job doesn't stop at the sale. We guide you through the whole process, from buying the right auto and home coverage to managing your protection as your needs and the insurance market change. That might mean adding a water backup endorsement for a finished basement, setting liability limits well above Ohio's 25/50/25 minimums, or looking at asset-based long-term care as you plan ahead.

It's a small team on purpose. Mark and Nikki both grew up in Marion, and when you call, you talk to one of them. We help families, real estate investors and dental, medical and aesthetic practices from Marion and Powell to Delaware, Dublin, Westerville, Worthington and Columbus.

The Independent Agency

Several carriers, compared. One local agency in your corner.

eGoodwin Insurance is an independent agency. We represent multiple insurance companies, so we shop your coverage across several carriers and compare, then walk you through the options. That covers auto, home, condo, renters, landlord and real estate investor, flood, umbrella, motorcycle, RV, boat and life insurance, plus asset-based long-term care and business coverage.

Keeping your policies with one agency makes life simpler: one number to call, and one team that knows your whole picture. Bundling home and auto may lower what you pay, and we'll tell you plainly when it doesn't.

Help as your needs and the market change

Life changes. A new driver, a paid-off car, a new roof, a rental property, a new practice. Insurance markets change too. We help you manage your protection over time so your coverage keeps up, your deductibles still make sense, and you hear about the discounts you may qualify for. Discounts vary and aren't available in every situation.

Who you're working with. Because "trust us" isn't a credential.

Insurance runs on trust, so here's what you'd want to know before handing someone your auto, home, and family's coverage.

How we work. Five habits that don't change.

1

Education before the sale

You'll understand what you're buying before you buy it. That includes what Ohio's 25/50/25 auto minimums do and don't cover, why uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is worth a look even though Ohio doesn't require it, what a water backup endorsement adds for a basement, and how a separate wind/hail deductible works if your policy has one.

2

We shop, you choose

Because we represent multiple insurance companies, we compare coverage and price across several carriers and lay out the trade-offs. Bundling home and auto may lower what you pay. Call (740) 387-8335 to see your options.

3

We stay with you after the sale

From purchase to managing your protection, we keep an eye on things as your needs and the insurance market change, so your coverage doesn't quietly fall behind.

4

A real person answers

You'll usually reach Nikki first, and you can always ask for Mark. Two offices, one phone number, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern. Meet the team.

5

Built for Ohio households, investors and practices

Homeowners with cars, real estate investors with single-family, multifamily and apartment properties, and dental, medical and aesthetic offices. If it's yours to protect, we can help you shop it.

Is eGoodwin Insurance an independent agency? +

Yes. eGoodwin Insurance is an independent agency, which means we represent multiple insurance companies instead of just one. We shop your coverage across several carriers and compare, so you can see your options side by side.

In Mark's words, we help you buy insurance rather than sell it to you. We work for you, not an insurance company.

What insurance can I get through your agency? +

Personal coverage: auto, home, condo, renters, landlord and real estate investor, flood, umbrella, motorcycle, RV, boat and life insurance, plus asset-based long-term care.

Business coverage: BOP, general liability, commercial property, commercial auto and fleet, professional liability, cyber, EPLI, workers' comp and group benefits.

What areas do you serve? +

We have two offices: 399 E. Church Street in Marion and 74 E. Olentangy Street in Powell. We work with clients from Marion down the US-23 corridor to Columbus, including Delaware, Powell, Dublin, Westerville, Lewis Center, Worthington, Sunbury, Galena and Prospect, across Marion, Delaware and Franklin counties.

We also help clients across all of Ohio.

Who will I actually talk to when I call? +

Do you charge a fee for a quote? +

No. Quotes are free. Call with a question and you'll get a straight answer, even when the answer is that your current coverage already fits.

Do you work with real estate investors and medical offices? +

Yes. Along with Ohio homeowners who bundle home and auto, we work with real estate investors who own single-family homes, multifamily buildings and apartments, and with dental, medical and aesthetic offices.

See landlord and investor coverage or business insurance, or call to talk it through.

Can you help me plan for long-term care? +

Yes. Asset-based (hybrid) long-term care is a featured part of what we do. It's life insurance or an annuity with long-term care benefits built in or added by rider, and it's often funded with a single premium or a limited number of payments. If care is never needed, a death benefit goes to your heirs. Medicare generally doesn't pay for long-term custodial care.

Ask us whether a specific policy is Ohio Long-Term Care Partnership qualified. Learn more about long-term care. This isn't tax or legal advice, so check with your tax professional before moving existing policy values.
