When the predecessor of People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County was established in 1954, its goal was simple yet noble- to provide food during the holidays for those in need. Now, in 2022, PIN has expanded its cause to include various services to help those in need in our community. These services include food insecurity programs, school supplies & shoes, a holiday clearing house, and emergency services.
For this upcoming holiday season, we here at e Goodwin Insurance want to capture the original spirit of PIN and help those right here in Delaware County. Approximately 25,000 individuals in our county are currently struggling with food insecurity. A third of these individuals are infants less than a year old. People dealing with food security often also struggle to make ends meet when it comes to things like rent and doctor’s visits.
We want to help change this- together. What do we mean?
